ROBOTICS / PLC PROGRAMMER
PLC stands for ‘programmable logic controller’. PLC programming means the programming of a controller for a process or machine. PLCs are used to control a process, for instance during fence work, in-feed and out-feed conveyors, and with release mechanisms.
In many cases it is safer, faster and simpler to employ a robot instead of human power. In most of the cases, a failsafe PLC is called for, through which it is possible to immediately reach a performance level.
Is there no robot at all? Then the PLC will control the whole machine or the whole process. Often in combination with an HMI through which the controller can control the machine.
METHODOLOGY
As PLC Programmer, I make the decisions on the architecture and the software design. After which I will (virtually) test the PLC code. Did it pass the test? Then the machine can be started up.
But that is not the whole story. I also perform regular checks and I am nearby if there are any malfunctions. Making sure that the machines will work and keep working, that is my job.
Want to know more about my job as PLC programmer? Send me an email, or even better: call me. I will be more than happy to discuss with you what I could mean for you.
